Mobile Laboratory Design
A mobile laboratory is a lab that can be moved from place to place as and when needed. It is not set up in a building and is usually housed in either a disused 6 m or 12 m shipping container. We have the capacity to design, fabricate and equip mobile laboratories from disused shipping containers, for any purpose.
Mobile laboratories can be used for administering health care during disaster relief operations. They may also be used for research in young universities and science education in the many high schools and primary schools in Africa without laboratories.
Low cost
Mobile laboratories are less costly compared to a standalone laboratory building. They can also be easily scaled up, making them ideal for scoping and preliminary feasibility applications.
Durable
Shipping containers are designed to withstand highly corrosive and salty sea waters. Lab containers housed in shipping containers are therefore durable and can withstand the weather elements.
Mobile
Suitable for use in different locations, containerized laboratories may be easily moved from one place to the other. This makes them ideal for use in remote areas.
